What exactly does that mean?

  • generation of born-digital multimedia materials
  • management and distribution [private or public] of multimedia materials

"The success of any civilization depends on continuity between generations." This is what I consider to be one of the most important goals for our emerging globally connected civilization. Information as a resource is as valuable as money, if not more. The quality of our future will likely be impacted significantly by the consistent management of cultural, historical, scientific and artistic information. The most important thing we can all do today is find ways to become curators of that which is important to us, as well as creating systems with integrated long-view and long-term functionality.
